Privacy

This covers information you give us through this website. Information you give us after your child is enrolled is covered by the enrolment agreement you sign at the centre, which is a separate and longer document.

Your name, email address and phone number, so we can confirm the tour.

Your child's first name and date of birth, so we know which room to show you and who would be caring for them.

Allergies and medical notes, shared whenever you are ready. These fields are entirely optional at this stage. Many families prefer to tell us in person, and that is perfectly fine.

An emergency contact name, phone number and relationship.

Anything you write in the notes field.

A one-way hash of your IP address. We keep the hash rather than the address so that we can stop somebody submitting the form a thousand times, without holding a record of where you were sitting when you filled it in.

We use it to contact you about the tour, to prepare for your visit, and to keep a record of the enquiry.

We send you a confirmation email, and a further email when the tour is confirmed, declined or moved.

It stays with us. We never sell it, never share it with other centres, and never add you to a marketing list. There is no newsletter to be signed up to by accident.

Staff at the centre who need it to run the tour or the waitlist. Access is limited by role, and every view or change of a booking is logged against a named account.

Our email provider, Resend, processes the confirmation emails on our behalf.

Nobody else, with one exception we want to be clear about: where the law or a child protection obligation requires disclosure, those duties take precedence over this policy.

In a secure database on the server that runs this website, and only there. Never in a spreadsheet, a shared inbox or on anybody's phone.

If you tour and enrol, the enquiry becomes part of your child's record and is kept as long as the enrolment agreement requires.

Where an enquiry does not lead to a place with us, we delete it after twelve months.

You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any point, and we will.

This site sets one essential cookie to keep staff signed in, and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking, which is why you were never asked to accept any.

Your browser keeps only what is needed to load the page. There is no analytics identifier and no advertising pixel.

You can ask what we hold about you and your child, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Phone the centre and ask. You do not need to put it in writing or use a particular form of words.

If you would like the matter reviewed independently, you are welcome to raise it with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
